Easy sushi recipe
Easy sushi recipe
Every time we like more the oriental flavors and although not everything is sushi in the Japanese kitchen, undoubtedly this elaboration is one of the most liked to all. As it is a dish that is expensive if we ask it away from home and it is very important to consume it very fresh, today we want to teach you this easy sushi recipe, so you can do it whenever you want.
I have prepared it in maki-roll format - small cylinders of nori seaweed stuffed with rice and the ingredient chosen - with salmon, avocado and cucumber, but you can use other fish, meats or any other ingredient, like when we made these fun melon makis with ham.
Ingredients for 2 people
1 leaf of nori seaweed, 100 g of glutinous rice, 50 g of fresh salmon, 1 avocado, 1 cucumber, vinegar, sugar and salt
Also for the garnish: wakame and sesame kelp salad, wasabi pasta, soy sauce, pickled ginger
How to prepare an easy sushi recipe
We started preparing the rice. As we explained here, making rice for sushi is a simple process. Simply cook the rice (glutinous type or special for sushi) and then cool it with a fan after seasoning it with vinegar, sugar and salt.
It is convenient to have all the ingredients ready when preparing the sushi, since they must be very fresh products and should not waste time in their handling. That is why we will prepare a julienne avocado and we will do the same with the cucumber to have it ready when we go to form the makis.
As for the fish to be used, in this case we cut the salmon choosing the area of the ventresca to give a few cuts in strips. Here you can see perfectly how to do it. With everything ready, we cut the nori seaweed leaf in two, we put it on a mat or makisu lined with transparent kitchen film leaving the rough side up, and over it we spread the rice pressing a little to adhere.
In the middle of the rice, we placed strips of fish, cucumber and avocado and optionally, a little wasabi, if we like the spicy touch of this seasoning. Already only need to roll the alga aided with the mat and form a cylinder. When serving it is cut into 8 servings, helped by a moistened knife so that we do not stick to the rice.

Tasting
This easy sushi recipe also has its rite at the time of the tasting. You can use chopsticks although it is also correct to take each maki with your hands. It is lightly dipped in soy sauce - whether or not it has a tip of wasabi to taste - and is put in the mouth where all the flavors are appreciated. As a side dish we put a salad of seaweed wakame and sesame and a few sheets of pickled ginger to "clean the mouth" between bite and bite.
