Non-alcoholic cocktails for diabetics
Many times we face special occasions where alcohol makes an appearance and seems to be the king of the party. Did you know that with a non-alcoholic cocktail suitable for diabetics who will enjoy the same, or more? Of course! It seems that it is fashionable now whenever we go out or organize a dinner with a glass in hand. Ugly ugly. But if we prepare a cocktail without alcochol ... much better!
ALCOHOL AND DIABETES
First, let's clarify something, in case anyone has doubts: diabetics should not consume alcohol. Without exception, some people will say it in moderation, but I would tell you right away that alcohol was. To give you an idea, our nutritionist gave us a brochure-traffic light with banned food, moderate consumption and recommended, and alcohol is in the red: banned.
Alcohol contains sugars, and that causes increased blood glucose levels. Drinking alcohol while having diabetes, even moderately, can make us more prone to hypoglycemia, especially if we have not eaten anything before.
In addition, alcohol has many calories and is totally contraindicated for diets to lose weight. Taking into account that diabetes may be related to problems of obesity or weight and / or slow metabolism, in these cases is especially bad.
1. San Francisco cocktail without alcohol
The San Francisco cocktail is definitely my sweet and sweet favorite which is to combine the juices we will use. In fact, many times I go out and I order it without alcohol, healthier, and it is the one who asks "the one who leads". It is served on a ball, it is elegant and essential to end a romantic evening. Mix everything in a beater or bowl, although I like to serve it without mixing to see the different colors, and then mix it with a straw when taking it.
30ml orange juice
30ml peach
15ml pineapple juice
A splash of pomegranate juice or redcurrant
2. Pina Colada without alcohol
The pina colada is the king of the summer cocktail, indisputably! Its flavor of coconut and pineapple is already so famous that it has adapted a thousand different ways (until we made a piña colada mousse cake). It can be served in large glass or glass of tube, filled with ice. All ingredients are mixed and served.
15ml milk
15ml milk or coconut cream
50ml pineapple juice
3. Mojito without alcohol
And if there is a king of the party, that is the mojito. Very refreshing and with a very peculiar flavor thanks to the lime and mint. It is served in large glass, with crushed ice or these small cubes (I did not and I cut it in the electric chopper). First the file is squeezed and enclosed with the whole mint leaves, and put the pasta in the bottom of the glass. Pour the ice, and pour over the lemon juice and soda / soda.
10 ml lime juice
10 ml lemon juice
50 ml soda / (without sugar, obviously)
8 whole mint leaves
Tip: To make the mint let go of all its flavor, put the leaves in one hand and knock on the side Superior with the other.
4. margarita cocktail without alcohol
Margarita's original cocktail brings tequila, but we adapt it to make it without alcohol with more juices. Ideal for the most intense: the result is a super refreshing citrus burst. If you like the citrus acidity and you are brave, do not put sweetener. If not, add a little. It is served in a small glass of cocktail, martini, very cold and without ice. The ingredients are mixed and served.
45ml of orange juice
15ml of lemon juice
a pinch of salt
Sweetener to taste (stevia, optional)
